Become a volunteer

You don’t have to be a runner or walker to be part of VRR. No special skills, experience or training is required, just your enthusiasm and willingness to help! Volunteering is a great way to meet people, gain new skills, as well as have fun and be part of the team. Without our dedicated team of volunteers, VRR would not be possible!

The event organisers will reward yourself with a complimentary single race entry into 2015 (5km, 10km run or walk)  for being part of the event. So not only are you supporting this great event, you are also given a chance to have a go at running in an event yourself.

Volunteer positions available on the day include course drink station attendants, handing out showbags and sponsor products, presenting participants with their medallions at the finish line, assisting with participant registrations, collecting timing chips and start line/course marshaling.

Please note, volunteer roles are available on Thursday, 23 July, Friday, 24 July, Saturday, 25 July and Sunday 26 July. Please note, if you cannot see the dates listed in your preferences below it means they have been filled already.

Please note: Course Marshals need to be 18 years of age or over. Please do not select this role if you are under 18.

Shifts vary with commencement times ranging from a 5:30am start for the early birds to an 8:00am start for those relying on public transport.  All volunteer roles will conclude by approximately 12:00noon.

We require volunteers to commence their committed shift on times.

Thank you for your understanding.
