President’s Tan Talk – November 2018
A beautiful morning for running greeted VRR members and friends for the November Tan Time Trial As always, there were some notable milestone achievements |
Evan Kisler became our youngest member ever to complete 50 Tan Time Trials. Evan has completed 50 Tans without ever running one! He has missed very few Tans since he was born (!!), having been pushered around each month by a combination of (mum) Jenny (left), (auntie) Lynn (right) and Doug Stokes. I think riding a bike might be the next progression, then running. At his current rate, he’ll clock up 200 Tans while still a teenager!! |
Grant Watson also completed 50 Tan Time Trials.
Congratulations Grant.
Grant is ‘a little older than Evan’, and completed all of his Tans ‘under his own steam’, well done.
Truly awesome achiever of the day was Judy Wines, completing 250 Tan Time Trials, what a sensational effort.
Judy is an inspiration to all, demonstrating the benefits of running for our health and well being as we ‘get a little older’.
At most of Judy’s Tans, she has also helped with the organisation of the run, and we couldn’t do what we do without volunteers like Judy.
