President’s Tan Talk – August 2018
A great morning for runners greeted VRR members and friends for the August Tan Time Trial.
As always there were some great milestone achievements:
Mick Wilson celebrated 50 Tan Time Trials, well done Mick..
Steve Miller, completed an amazing 200 Tan Time Trials, a truly amazing effort, great work Steve.
Even more amazing is Peter Battrick notching up 250 Tan Time Trials.
That’s more than 20 years of Tans, and is all the more remarkable given the injury and illness challenges that Peter has had to address.
Peter has for very many years been a cheerful, smiling face, always ready with a good word and encouragement for other members.
Tony Martin, whose 90th birthday we celebrated last month, kindly brought along lots of chocolates and cake from his birthday celebrations, keen to share with his VRR friends.
Well done Tony, great to see you still actively participating in both Tan Time Trials and VRR fun runs
